My Panasonic PV-GS320 Mini-DV Camera has the A/V port, but I can not find anywhere in the menu where I would turn on VCR-DV, and when I play the VHS tape, nothing shows up on the LCD screen of the DV camera.

I’ve read that the camera may not have analog to digital passthrough, but supports it. Do you know what I can do to get it to work? If I can’t get it to passthrough to a PC, I should at least be able to see it on the camera I thought.

Thanks for your help, in advance.

Bad news, I found this on the web. “These problems, compounded by the crippling loss of features compared to Panasonic MiniDVs of the past (focus ring, analog-to-digital pass through, hot shoe, headphone jack, mic jack, etc.) are the result of a business decision Panasonic made when the introduced the 2006 models. They cut features and they cut the price.”
No analog-to-digital passthrough for you. You’ll have to look at other options. Watch “Getting Your VHS Video onto Your Computer via the Dazzle” to see how to digitize you VHS footage using a standalone converter device.
